burger king asessment

In the advert we see a man eating in a restaurant with he's girlfriend and he thinks the food there is only for women not meant, so he leaves and makes he's way to burger king were there is food for men only. I think this advert would appeal to 2 skilled manual occupations example builders. It is also funny and entertaining this is because it makes men laugh at how greedy they would look when they stuff there face with burgers or food. Also and alternative to why its funny because it makes women laugh at men as well because when there on dates that’s how they really are. The gender that is predominantly represented is male , they are shown as angry ,vicious, and greedy. They are angry about the fact that there's not that many restaurants of them to go and have meals that would actually satisfy them, and burger king is the meal that would, but its more of a target to men not females. In the advert the are presented in a group to show they have lots of friends to be around with and socialise with. The soundtrack for the advert I is manthem , with two words put together “man” and “anthem”. Man means ‘man adult human male’ The definition of anthem ‘A song officially adopted by a country as an expression of national identity.’ This gives a clear explanation that its targeted to men, it also tells me. The women in the advert are either encouraging or looking ,and are shocked. At how angry the men are and how the burger is irresistible to them. There image is in dresses and colours. Character Profiles.

Character Profile: Jermaine Miller

 Age: 15

Gender: Male

Personality : he is a player , cheater ,likes girl, likes football , he cares about his swag g , he likes money, doesn’t Car e about noon else  accept he’s girlfriend and himself, everyone knows him (popular), self-confidence, rude. Takes drugs>

Funny Habits : He thinks he is a joker , getting rude to teachers, making fun of pupils ( neeks  )

Back story : He lives in a care home mum abandoned him, been in prison more than 5times for robbery And anti-social behaviour

This effects the way he acts because he acts as if because he’s been in prison so many times , he can’t change or improve , he thinks he’s not going to be successful so he doesn’t try in school because teachers doubt him and think he can’t achieve anything when he actually has the ability and is capable of doing things independently and socialising with other people.

He takes drugs wich effects part of brain wich causes him to act certain ways . h sniffs toad  wich after he goes tipsy and your eye sight is blury and hard to see .

He takes this because it makes him feel much better and not feel stressed out , with bad company around him wich convinces him to do those things .

Relationships to other characters:  hangs out with he’s friends, and in gangs.

shaniqua:  ex -girlfriend but now close friends

Bria: likes her , but enjoys her arguing or fighting over him with shaniqua

Gender: female

Character personality: fake, Barbie, immature but the oldest in the class. She gets in trouble a lot for wearing a lot of makeup. She’s always late for school because she wastes time doing make up in the morning. She’s a daddy’s girl and is a spoiled brat. She has a love and hate relationship with Shaniqua and has a crush on Jermaine. Her and Shaniqua fights a lot over Jermaine. She doesn’t like school and spends a lot of time in the cooler. Bermondsey accent.

Back story: Bria Ceer lives with her mum. Her relationship with her mum isn’t as great because she doesn’t listen to her mum. She always gets her own way and she does what she likes. She would always stay out late with her friends and go out instead of do her homework. She doesn’t let school ruin her life she claims as school would mean no social and personal life. Her behaviour at school isn’t bad but she doesn’t follow school rules.

evaluating your presentation


 

Evaluating my presentation

I took the role of presenting my character who was boy called “Jermaine” I had to empathise my character and become him and also during my lessons in media explore his character more , to make my presentation and mockumentry effective.

I delivered my presentation by feeding the class information , using skills and images, I used images such as …

Character profile-my character profile had all the evidence about my character and my role.wich we used at the start of the presentation.

Storyboard-I presented my storyboard and added it to the PowerPoint and explained it more and expand my character to the audience.

I used presenting skills...

Tone of voice- I used tone of voice when I was welcoming and introducing my character in my presentation.

facial expression – I had facial expression to show and present my character effectively.

Body language- I used body language to become my character and the way I stood

I was pleased with my skills  I used although I could of use a range of more skills and have more confidence by memorising what I have to say and also using more gestures.

I could of developed  my tone of voice because most of the time I was really loud then I was quiet. I the future I need to work on my tone of voice when I am presenting , to help me with doing this I need to practice it more  with my group and have more confidence when I  am speaking.

Also, I need to take in my advice/feedback.
